A MATTER OF ORIENTATION

THE TRANSCRIPT

What we’re dealing with here is a matter of orientation. In The Forgotten Sense, we work with just two very basic options: Red + Green.

The Red orientation is all about what is not wanted. Red means stop. Red means tension. Red means stress. Red means anxiety, fire, anger, rage. We know the feeling of Red because it tightens everything, it thoroughly exhausts us, it destroys.

Every prisoner knows the desperation of their plight. They know that they do not want to be captive. It’s one thing to say, “I need to get out of here.” But it’s another altogether to consider what we will do with our freedom on the other side.

“Why do I want to be free?” This is a totally different orientation. We have a tendency to become so blinded by the bars. Our vision narrows. We forget the world of possibilities that exists beyond the bars.

The truth is that we’re victims only of our limited perspectives + ideas. Every so-called “bar” is self-imposed. We inflict those prisons when we orient toward what we don’t prefer.

You asked, “Where do we start?” The answer to your question is: we must become aware of the possibilities. We must choose to turn toward them.

This is so so brilliantly simple, is it not?

CONTINUED…

We must retract our valuable attention from that which we do not prefer, and offer it instead toward that which we desire to create.

Mark that. Listen to it every single day. It describes our only work in life, which is to:

Turn toward what excites the light within.
