BECOMING THE ARTIST

“We decide for ourselves if we are the consumers or the artists of our own existence. The consumer does not need to understand. The artist, however, must have a deep certainty concerning which laws allow or forbid him to pursue and express what he seeks and wants.” (Martin Schleske, The Sound of Life’s Unspeakable Beauty)

PRINCIPLE VS. THEORY

My work maintains a relentless emphasis on principle, or law: that which can be understood + integrated meaningfully; that which can be brought to life through practical engagement; that which can produce when well-applied.

I am not referring here to theory. Theory is a concept that requires testing to determine value. We do not know the value of a theory until it has been explored in application.

Principle is underlying fact, or living law. It bears the weight of proof because it functions flawlessly in all of time, regardless of perspective or belief.

A principle is not open to agreement or debate. It simply is, and always has been, and will always be. It is dependable, and functional, and true.

CALL TO ADVENTURE

My work calls out to the artist within you: that part of you that senses “something more” beyond the clamor of societal consumption.

My work calls you to the landscape of adventure: not to intellectual exchanges of enticing theories, but to life.

Everything I have created calls you back to life. Back down to earth. Back to your feet.

My work isn’t “easy,” it is rich. It requires something meaningful of you.

It requires you to make a choice. To reach for more.

To choose to be the artist of your life.

AN INVITATION

Every offer I’ve created serves this end. To perfect this work of artistry in you, I recommend beginning with The Forgotten Sense, Level I.
