INNOCENCE + EVOLUTION
Each of us is absolutely innocent. We’ve always done the best we could with what we’ve come to know at any time. Consider this as deeply as you can: there hasn’t been one failure or mistake. In any given case, you’ve done your best; if you could have done better, it is obvious that you would have done so. (Opposing thoughts to this are critical self-judgments, nothing more. Honesty discards them in the end.)
Take this view not only of yourself but those around you. Recognize the innocence in them. Consider how sincerely they’ve lived up to the exact height of their personal assumptions about life: every act revealing how they’ve come to think about themselves (and God). Contemplate what happens as the content of that inner world evolves.
The fact is that behavior is a practical extension of belief. We act, speak, and decide based on those concepts + ideas we’ve permitted to take root within our souls. Our daily actions mirror our beliefs. When those beliefs are resonant with Truth, we are empowered; when they are not, we find ourselves ensnared.
As we act from awareness of the Truth, our lives expand. Our sense of self + others is perfected, and the quality of action is improved. In contrast, false assumptions will breed smallness, poor behavior, and what we have come to think of as mistakes.
We only stand as tall as our ideas have allowed us to; the only box we know is one we’ve built. Liberation comes through understanding. Understanding is the Light of Truth.
Truth is like a love song woven into every detail of existence. Each of us must hear it for ourselves.
