TRUE BLACK TAROT

True Black has been my all-time favorite Tarot deck for years. The moment I saw the artwork, I was hooked. And as breathtaking as it is on-screen, it’s even better in hand. Every detail of this deck screams quality, magic, intent.

As if the artwork weren’t enough to earn this one a top spot in my world, the readings themselves are concise, original, articulate, and thoughtful. I have never yet been disappointed by this deck.

TERRA ORACLE

The Terra Oracle Deck is tied (with True Black) for the most impressive deck I’ve ever handled. Not only is every piece of artwork a hand-drawn original, but the descriptions included in the guidebook are so rich. The very best I’ve ever read.

Even the animals included in this deck surprise me: so many you don’t expect to find! Most importantly: it speaks to me every time. I’d recommend this to anyone. Literally anyone. It is a fun + important deck.

SPIRIT ANIMAL ORACLE

The Spirit Animal Oracle has been a long-standing favorite. In fact, I purchased my first set on the original pre-order, because I’m such a fan of the artist’s work (an artist I became familiar with through the Mystical Shaman deck featured below).

The artwork is why I love this deck. Magical, whimsical, bright. To me, these cards feel like a wide open heart. The readings are “lightweight,” but not disappointing; I return to this deck fairly often.

MYSTICAL SHAMAN ORACLE

Until Terra Oracle, this was my favorite oracle deck of all time. In fact, it still qualifies, since Terra’s an “animal deck,” and this one is broader in scope.

Mystical Shaman has everything I look for in a good deck: brilliant artwork; heavyweight cards; generous, thoughtful descriptions.

If I could have only one “general oracle” deck, this is the one I would choose.

WILD UNKNOWN ANIMAL SPIRIT

The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit deck has been in my orbit for years. Kim Krans has such a distinct style that I have come to enjoy very much.

The artwork is evocative, the descriptions concise, and it just always seems to hit home.

ANIMAL TOTEMS & THE I’CHING

This is a newer addition - a quality deck through + through. Ceremoniance has designed something truly unique: a blend of I’Ching, Human Design, Gene Keys, and Animal Totems: the first of its kind, that’s for sure!

I like this deck most for its artwork, luxe choice of materials, and animal totem descriptions. Brynja doesn’t regurgitate animal info: I find her descriptions insightful. A pleasant surprise, all in all.

49ERMINERALS + ARIZONACRYSTALCO

Both of these outfits are run by my friends, Joyce + Jimmy. 49erMinerals is home of gem quality cabochons; ArizonaCrystalCo is focused on raw specimens. Both offer only the very best quality of every item they have in stock.

CRYSTAL FLOW SPIRIT

Joel is the artist who crafted my beautiful Nuummite, and remains the one source I can recommend for this incredibly valuable stone. He’s based in France, so the shipping requires some patience, but his process drips with intention. To quote him:

During the process I sing to thank the earth for these treasures, and for the transition from my hands to your heart. The stones were purified in the water of the river after all the work done on it.

Needless to say, every stone that Joel offers is special, and well worth the wait every time.

MAYA LITHO / LA PREMIÈRE PIERRE

Maya Litho + La Première Pierre operate as a fusion run by my friends, Julien + Vincent. Both of these shops are based in France, too.

These two design + craft much of the jewelry they offer, and often work closely with Joel (see above). Like Joel, they infuse all of their work with intention.

Most importantly, both of these men are good people with brilliant hearts. I buy from them with such gratitude, pleasure, and pride.

Travis is one of those very rare finds that you make lots of noise about once you’ve caught onto his magic. I found his work on Instagram, and we were fast friends after that.

Travis gets access to the most incredible stones. It’s clear that he treats them with utmost respect as well - which is a quality I’ve come to value so highly.

Travis is gentle, attentive, and thoughtful. His prices are fair, and I can’t recommend him more proudly.

WEINRICH MINERALS

I enjoy this store because of its large + transparent curation of high-value stones. Descriptions are always specific regarding condition, and every piece has its own video, which is amazing to me - it sets this store apart from the rest.

I’ve ordered here every time. Every piece has been a winner. (Their IG is fun to follow as well, but don’t blame me if it gets you hooked!)

 THE BOOK OF STONES

This is my #1 reference + constant companion for stones. It is far-and-away the most comprehensive resource (readily available) on the subject, includes beautiful pictures, is generous in its scope, and costs less than it likely should.

I feel truly indebted to the authors for preparing this wonderful resource. I learn from it every day, and have been doing so for some time.

CRYSTAL CO-CREATORS

This book has been a surprise, and a pleasant one. All of the info is “channeled,” which I have approached with great care; but everything I have found here has been solid, and useful for me. I’m glad to recommend it.
