MY INNER URGE (CRYSTAL SELF)
This past week, in the First Wave of the Crystal Self, we worked with a position that revealed our Inner Urge: that original space of innocence within - the home of our Inner Child, too. I have been making a point of crafting a concise summary of my findings each week, and have decided to share this one with you. Here it is, explicit reclamation of this portion of my Inner Self:
I am a gentle poet + master of subtle perception who dreams beautiful, unhurried dreams that enrich the quality + expand the scope of life.

I have been this way from the beginning - although I wasn’t capable of permitting it more fully until recent years. I am owning it more fully even now: allowing this way to be my way. The way of the productive dreamer: the one who builds a life on what he dreams.
The truth is that this past week has required something of me. The Poet’s eyes are not passively observing; they are actively involved in what they see. The Poet’s eyes define the fundamental value of their view.
Simply put: the Poet mines for Beauty. Inwardly + outwardly, he creates new meaning by the force of sheer intention, focused will. His eyes see what they wish to see, which is the deeper truth of any thing.
This way of being makes creative use of Life’s material: persistently remembering that what we see is malleable, open to our heart’s interpretation, welcoming a view that peers creatively within.
This past week required me to see beyond appearances + draft a fresh awareness of their meaning. It required me to remember how adaptive meaning is to my intent.
It required me to step into my role as Storyteller + Creator: Gentle Poet. It invited me find the beauty so persistently available, yet hidden from unwilling eyes.

The Poet is a Seer by intent: perceiving past the veil of evident appearances, connecting to the pulse of Life within.
This way of the Gentle Poet is dependent on the practices of Wayfinding + Narrative Design.
Both require something of the viewer, which is: purposeful engagement, conscious will.
Both require willingness to see beyond the surface presentation.
Both require willingness to use the Poet’s eyes.
Both require eyes attuned to Beauty.
Both require willingness to feel.
