DIETARY REGIMEN: A CONSISTENT BENEFIT

 


CONTEXT

In a recent conversation with Rowan Gabrielle, I go out of my way to address the idea of “success stories” within the context my work with Dietary Regimen. This is an important topic, and one that I have wanted to discuss like this, directly, for some time.

Some of you may have noticed that I simply never post testimonials or “success stories.” The following excerpt does a good job of explaining why. I hope you love it.


TRANSCRIPT

I’ve found that this whole course of inquiry illuminates the ordinary act of eating. It's about how we feel in the body + how we come to meet life as a body. And so the truest benefit for me (and this is very important for me to state) - one that I have seen as a direct + lasting benefit across the board - is the way that something as mundane as simply-eating can be elevated by the information we explore here.

So although I can't speak to the typical idea of ‘success stories’ as we’ve become so accustomed to hearing about them in this context, I can tell you about how these beautiful human beings that I’ve had the pleasure of supporting through this work have left the talk equipped to meet their life + way of eating in a totally new way.

Something that was once a meaningless necessity (and, in many cases, even a begrudging act) has, in almost every case, been elevated to a moment of communion, ritual, awareness, and enjoyment. There’s a level of intention + care brought to this basic act of living that did not exist before our conversation.

Honestly, the whole thing is a thrill. There is magic in the mundane. And something about Dietary Regimen (when it's accessed properly) allows for us to tap that magic - not just once or twice (not temporarily), but multiple times - every single day for the rest of our lives! And that changes a person. It may or may not change their weight or skin or muscles; but it absolutely will affect their heart.

And what it does on that level will inevitably change the quality of their relationships with others, the quality of their relationship to projects they’ve committed their attention to, the quality of their relationship to life. This experience has the power to transform a person’s heart - it changes who they are from inside out.

And that, to me, is the ultimate success. Now that’s a form of success that I can tell you stories about.
